Dear Friends ,
On the eve of the World Rosary Day 2025, I would like to share with you the remarkable response that our second edition has garnered so far.
Clearly, the impassioned appeal of Pope Leo to pray the Rosary for world’s peace this October has resonated all over the Catholic Church, judging by the confluence of institutions that have joined our worldwide day of prayer.
As last year’s inaugural edition saw the powerful concourse of national and international shrines, confraternities and Dominican religious groups, the 2025 World Rosary Day shows a high participation of institutional ecclesiality, with the presence of Archdioceses, Dioceses and Cathedrals from various corners of the globe. Notably, just from the first group: the Archdioseses of Montréal (Canada); Rio de Janeiro (Brasil); Seattle (USA); Kumasi (Ghana); three from India: Bangalore, Mangalore and Verapoly, all of them pastorally responsible for millions of faithful.
Several new associations joined, such as the “Catholic Police Guild” of England and Wales (whose poster you see here), and a new country entered the list: Vietnam, the 72nd country to join, with its oldest church in Hanoi (1859); Thu Thiem parish; built by the “Lovers of the Holy Cross” sisters, a congregation founded in Vietnam in 1670.
The children praying the Rosary are always the most joyful and powerful, a veritable source of hope and stregth. Once again, there will be dozens of White Army (armatabianca.org) chapters joining the WRD, in every continent of the world; many of which are featured in the upcoming movie on the Rosary.
After the event of October 7th, this website will begin featuring the testimonies from most of the participants and supporters of the World Rosary Day, in order to learn of their charisma and to grow in Mary’s devotion.
Looking forward to praying together,
yours in Mary, Umberto
The WORLD ROSARY DAY Team
